Marathi Thriller Gondhal Is India's Official Entry To Oscars 2027
Marathi thriller Gondhal, directed by Santosh Davakhar, has been selected as India's official entry for the Oscars 2027 in the Best International Feature category. The Film Federation of India announced the selection on Friday. Gondhal was chosen from 33 submitted films, including the Naga film Angh and Tamil film Dorothy. Director Santosh Davakhar previously won the Silver Peacock Award at IFFI 2025. The 99th Academy Awards will feature Gondhal as India's entry in the international feature race.
