Mansa Murder: Drug Crusader Killed, Shop Set Ablaze As Protests Erupt

Parvinder Singh Jhota, known for speaking out against drugs in Punjab, has been shot dead in Mansa after a confrontation with a medical store owner over alleged drug sales. The incident, streamed on Facebook Live, also left four others injured. The killing triggered angry protests, with a mob setting the accused's shop on fire, while authorities demolished parts of his house over alleged unauthorised construction. The main accused, Ashwani Kumar, has been arrested in Rajasthan. As the BJP and Congress target Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over Punjab's law and order situation and anti-drug campaign, Mann has condemned the killing and promised strict action.
