Manipur Sets Up SIT To Probe Jan 1 Firing

The Manipur government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a probe into the firing incident on January 1 in the minority community-dominated Lilong area in Thoubal district that resulted in casualties. The death toll from the incident has risen to five as one of the injured succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night.
