Connectivity has been a major challenege for the border state of Manipur in India's northeast region but all that is going to change with several new infrastructure projects that are under coinstruction or in the pipeline. More than seven decades after independence the state capital Imphal will appear on the railway map of India with the Jiribam-Imphal Railway Line in an advanced stage of construction. The Imphal Airport will also get a new terminal and ATC complex and road connectivity will also get a boost with big ticket road projects passing through the state.
