The chief of the terrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in an encounter in Srinagar, the police said on Sunday. The police called the operation "a major success against militancy". Saifullah had taken over as chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen after Reyaz Naikoo was killed in May. Another terrorist was arrested during the encounter with security forces on the outskirts of the city.
