Recent political developments in West Bengal and Maharashtra have sparked discussions over whether the NDA is strengthening its parliamentary position without fresh elections. With the NDA currently holding 293 Lok Sabha seats, support from 20 rebel TMC MPs could raise its effective strength to 313. If reports of seven Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs joining the Eknath Shinde camp materialise, the NDA's tally could climb to 319. While still short of the 363-seat two-thirds majority mark, such gains would significantly strengthen the alliance's position in Parliament and improve its ability to manage legislative outcomes.
