Venezuela’s Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez has accused the United States of carrying out a “criminal military aggression” after Washington confirmed it was behind seven large-scale airstrikes targeting Caracas and surrounding states. In a televised address, Padrino said military installations and residential areas in the capital, as well as in Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira, were hit in what he described as the worst aggression Venezuela has ever faced.
