Police in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, have arrested a priest and a woman for allegedly murdering her husband over an alleged affair. The victim, Sumit, went missing on February 11 in Mandla. His body was later recovered after a missing complaint was filed by his brother. According to police, the accused woman, Jamuna, initially reported a robbery, but investigators found no evidence supporting her claim. During questioning, she allegedly confessed to plotting the murder with her lover, Suryakant, a local temple priest. Officials said Sumit was attacked with a cricket bat and later stabbed to death in a nearby forest. Family members have demanded strict punishment for the accused.
