Among the 241 lives lost in the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, was Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma, a member of the airline's cabin crew. Her death has left her family in deep shock and mourning. Speaking to the media, her father, Kongrailatpam Nandesh Kumar Sharma, expressed his grief and appealed for the return of his daughter's remains so they can perform her final rites at home. "We want her body parts so we can perform her funeral at home," he said, adding that his elder daughter had traveled to Ahmedabad to collect what remains they could retrieve. The Sharma family, from Manipur, is among many across the country devastated by the loss of loved ones in the AI-171 crash.
