HS Phoolka, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, said that there are several ways child marriage can be stopped. A child who is being forced to undergo the practice must reach out to her/his school teachers in the school or a ChildLine (1098) and Kailash Satyarthi's helpline number (18001027222). Additionally, people can reach out to District Magistrate, who can further pass the order of injunction to stop the act. Child Marriage can also be reported to the police of their respective area and this can be done by the neighbour or a relative with anonymity. There is a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh for the attendees of the child marriage. "Everyone has a responsibility," Mr. Phoolka said.
