When it comes to our health, some of it like genetics and environmental factors are not in our control, but everything else is. Most of the illnesses that weaken us, that allow the disease to grow, are a result of habits, which are preventable. At the NDTV-Dettol Banega Swasth India's 'Lakshya - Sampoorn Swasthya Ka' 12-hour Telethon, one of the key areas of discussion was 'preventing ill-health, not just curing it'. Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State, Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist, World Health Organization, Sai Damodaran, Founder and CEO, Gramalaya and Padma Shri awardee, Anneysa Ghosh, CEO, Apollo Foundation Total Health, Dr Prathap Reddy, Founder, Apollo Hospitals and Padma Vibhushan awardee and actor Sidharth Malhotra joined the interaction and exchanged thoughts on strengthening states' commitment towards Lakshya, Sampoorn Swasthya Ka.
