Kolkata Water Metro Plan Set In Motion
Kolkata was the first city in the country to get a Metro rail network and now the city is all set to also get a water metro network as well. The water metro is a modern passenger ferry system powered by electric hybrid boats making them eco-friendly and commercially viable as well. Kolkata has an existing passenger ferry service and water metro is set to boost water transportation in the city.
