Passia was arrested in California's Sacramento, on April 17 by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after close coordination with Indian security agencies. Declared a wanted terrorist by the NIA, Passia faces multiple charges related to grenade attacks and assaults on police stations across Punjab between 2024 and 2025. Authorities had even announced a Rs 5 lakh reward for information leading to his capture.
