Karnataka tense after attack on churches
While the communally sensitive Kandhmal in Orissa remain tense over the killing of VHP leaders, a somewhat similar situation is emerging in Karnataka. Eighteen churches and prayer halls in and around Mangalore and in two other districts of Udipi and Chikmaglur were attacked on Sunday in incidents of stone-throwing by saffron groups protesting against conversions of Hindus to Christianity.
