The countdown to the Karnataka Cabinet expansion has begun. With 20 ministerial berths still vacant, the Congress high command is expected to take a final call in the coming days.
Sources tell NDTV that the cabinet expansion is likely by July 20, with a crucial meeting scheduled for July 18 in New Delhi. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are expected to meet Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara, and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to finalise the remaining names.
