K Kavitha Sent To Jail For 14 Days After Probe Agency Custody Ends | Read

A Delhi court has sent Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Kavitha to jail till April 9. Ms Kavitha was arrested March 15 in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam that has engulfed the Aam Aadmi Party, which is in power in the national capital; a week after her arrest, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also taken into custody by the probe agency. Last week the trial court allowed the ED to retain custody of Ms Kavitha for five more days.
