Johnson & Johnson Pauses Covid Vaccine Trials

Johnson & Johnson announced it had temporarily halted its COVID-19 vaccine trial because one of its participants had fallen ill. The company said in a statement, "We have temporarily paused further dosing in all our Covid-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials, including the Phase 3 ENSEMBLE trial, due to an unexplained illness in a study participant." While Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan today said that India will have a vaccine for the novel coronavirus from maybe more than one source by early next year. We speak on all these developments to Professor Dr Anita Ramesh Chandra, a specialist in clinical trials.
