Jantar Mantar Protest | Delhi Protest Continues; Wangchuk Refuses To End Fast
The protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar continues with demonstrators refusing to leave even as security has been tightened across the area. Activist Sonam Wangchuk has vowed to continue his fast until he or youth leaders are allowed to meet Members of Parliament. The Delhi High Court has expressed concern over Wangchuk's deteriorating health and is set to hear the plea on shifting him to a private hospital. Meanwhile, protesters met Union Minister JP Nadda, submitting a charter of demands that includes the resignation of the Education Minister, lifting restrictions on Wangchuk, and financial assistance for families of students who died by suicide over the NEET paper leak.
