As Jaipur continues to battle intense summer temperatures, the city's Municipal Corporation has introduced a 'Net Zero Cooling Station' to provide relief to commuters, pedestrians and outdoor workers. The facility offers a shaded resting area along with drinking water and mobile charging points. The cooling station has become particularly useful for daily-wage workers who spend long hours outdoors in extreme heat. Visitors say the facility provides a noticeably cooler environment and helps them escape the harsh weather conditions, even if only for a short time. Developed jointly by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation and the Mahila Housing Trust, the project uses solar-powered systems and passive cooling techniques to lower indoor temperatures. Officials hope similar cooling stations can be established across the city as temperatures remain high.
