Jaipur Police has introduced bicycle patrols as part of a green policing initiative aimed at reducing fuel consumption and improving mobility in crowded city areas. The move comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to save fuel and use sustainable transport options. Senior IPS officer Vikas Kumar, IG of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, was seen cycling to office and returning home on a bicycle later in the evening. Police officials say bicycle patrols will help personnel navigate narrow streets and congested markets more efficiently while promoting environmentally friendly policing practices.
