J&K Cloudburst Tragedy: Bridge Collapsed Cuts Off Villages

A severe cloud burst in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, late Saturday night has caused devastating flash floods. The disaster has resulted in the loss of 7 lives, with several others injured. The intense rainfall triggered landslides, disrupted traffic on the national highway, submerged multiple homes, and cut off access to villages. Rescue operations are underway, led by the army, NDRF, and SDRF teams. Multiple cloud bursts have been reported in the district, leading to extensive damage and highlighting the increasing frequency and impact of such weather events in the region.
