Dr Swapneil Parikh, Co-Author of The Coronavirus Book and Co-founder Plasma Yoddha at the #CaringForIndia telethon said that plasma therapy is over 100-years-old and tried for various diseases and infection. Dr Parikh further explained that plasma is a part of blood and has proteins called antibodies. Recovered COVID-19 patients can donate their plasma to help treat other coronavirus patients, he added.
