Israel Transport Minister's Shocker: “We Don’t Do Background Checks On Foreign Pilots”

Outrage is growing over remarks made by Israel’s Transportation Minister Miri Regev following the FlyDubai cockpit attack. The minister reportedly said it does not conduct background checks on foreign pilots, stressing that it is not an intelligence body and cannot guarantee that flights operated by foreign airlines are completely secure. The comments have raised fresh questions over how international flight crews are vetted before entering Israel, especially after reports that authorities had received the FlyDubai crew list in advance, including the Omani co-pilot.
