Israel News | IDF Releases Video Of What It Says Is An Operation To Dismantle Gaza Tunnel Routes

The Israeli military said Friday that its troops had “dismantled eight underground tunnel routes” spanning more than 2.5 kilometers that were used by Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip. In a statement, the military said one of the tunnels was part of an underground network in eastern Rafah where Hamas militants had been operating in recent months. It said militants inside the tunnel were “struck and eliminated” during an engineering operation carried out by Israeli troops. Israel Defense Forces released thermal video om Friday showing strikes and video with interiors of tunnels allegedly in Southern Gaza. Israel has continued carrying out strikes against what it says are militant targets while also killing civilians since a U.S.-brokered ceasefire halted major military operations in October. The agreement also led to the release of the remaining hostages taken during Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack that triggered the war. Key parts of the agreement remain unresolved, including the disarmament of Hamas, the deployment of an international stabilization force and Israel’s withdrawal from the half of the territory still controlled by its troops. Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the agreement.
