Israel & Lebanon Extend Ceasefire By 45 Days Despite Violent Flare-Ups

Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend their ceasefire for another 45 days following two days of US-mediated negotiations. The announcement was made by the US State Department despite recent flare-ups in violence across the border. While Lebanon attended the talks prioritising an end to hostilities, Israel has stated it will continue targeting Hezbollah hideouts in Lebanon. The United States has now scheduled another round of talks for June 2 and 3, aiming to secure a permanent agreement and reduce tensions in the Middle East.
