The Rafah crossing from Gaza to Egypt opened for the first time since Israel's siege began. Foreigners and injured Palestinians were allowed to cross over. Hamas' armed wing said that seven civilian hostages were killed in Israeli strikes on Jabalia refugee camp, including three foreign passport holders. Israel says it was targeting a Hamas commander and tunnels as the strike on one of the biggest refugee camps led to outrage.
