Iran has launched a swarm of explosive drones and fired missiles at Israel late in its first-ever direct attack on Israeli territory, risking a major escalation between the two nations. Speaking exclusively with NDTV, Dr Foad Izadi, Assistant Professor of World Studies at the University of Tehran, said, "Iranians are quite happy. Last night many people came onto the streets and celebrated. The public in Iran wanted a response not just to the recent Consulate attack but also the number of attacks the Israelis have carried out against Iranians."
