Iran War | Israel Claims Strike On Iran Airport Allegedly Used To Support Militants In Middle East
Israel says it struck Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, alleging the facility was used to transport weapons and funds to militant groups backed by Iran across the Middle East. The Israeli military claimed the airport supported arms transfers to groups including Hezbollah in Lebanon. Local footage showed large plumes of smoke and flames rising over Tehran’s skyline after the overnight strikes. Israel said 16 aircraft used for transporting weapons were destroyed and several Iranian fighter jets were also hit. Iranian state media did not immediately acknowledge the strike.
