Iran Fires Missiles At Kuwait, Bahrain; US Launches Retaliatory Strike

Tensions in the Gulf have escalated after Iran fired missiles towards Kuwait and Bahrain, according to the US military. While the missiles failed to hit their targets, US and Bahraini forces intercepted incoming threats, and multiple Iranian drones were reportedly shot down. In response, the United States launched strikes on an Iranian military facility on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran, meanwhile, claimed it targeted the headquarters of the US Navy's 5th Fleet in Bahrain and said the attack was in retaliation for recent US actions.
