Inside Putin’s ‘Fortress On Wheels’: A Bulletproof, Blast-Resistant Aurus Senat

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Delhi in his heavily armoured Aurus Senat, a presidential limousine developed under Russia’s Kortezh project for government use. Inspired by the Soviet-era ZIS-110, the Senat is designed as a mobile security fortress, featuring bulletproof and blast-resistant protection along with advanced safety systems. The 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine produces around 598 horsepower and 880 Nm of torque. The luxury limousine also features electronic traction control, active cruise control and lane-departure warning technology.
