Indonesia's President Hails India, Jokes Ministers Have 'Indian DNA'

Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto heaped praise on India while addressing the Indian community in Jakarta. In a light-hearted remark, he joked that many of his ministers "may have Indian DNA" because they love dancing, singing, and know Indian songs so well. Beyond the humour, Prabowo also commended India's democratic institutions, saying Indonesia is closely studying the functioning of the Election Commission of India and its ability to manage peaceful elections across a vast and diverse nation. Calling India's democratic journey a "remarkable achievement," he said Indonesia is learning from India's experience in governance and electoral management.
