Indo-US Space Collaboration Takes Flight With Successful Launch Of NISAR Satellite

India and the US marked a historic milestone in space collaboration on Wednesday with the successful launch of a GSLV rocket carrying the jointly developed NISAR satellite. ISRO's GSLV F-16 placed the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar satellite into a precise Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit, around 745 km above Earth, after a 19-minute flight, an achievement ISRO hailed as an "outstanding success."
