Indian Air Force conducts airshow on Sultanpur Expressway in Uttar Pradesh
The Indian Air Force carried out a major emergency landing drill on the Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur to test its use as an alternative runway during war or national emergencies. Frontline aircraft including Sukhoi Su-30MKI, SEPECAT Jaguar, and Airbus C-295 performed take-offs and landings. The exercise highlights India's strategy to safeguard air operations by using reinforced highway stretches if airbases are targeted.
