India, US Natural Partners, Says PM Modi Welcoming Donald Trump

The optics were completely in place. With 1 lakh people in attendance, US President Donald Trump was effusive in his praise for PM Modi and India. He talked about radical Islamic terrorism but in the same breath talked about America's relationship with Pakistan as being as a very good one - he also nudged India towards talks with Pakistan. He talked about India's unity in diversity being an inspiration and posited India in contrast with China - as the country who rises by setting its citizens free unlike one that intimidates and coerces.
