India Tariffs | Trump Responds To Why US Singled Out India Over Buying Russian Oil

India Tariffs | Trump Responds To Why US Singled Out India Over Buying Russian Oil Donald Trump announced an extra 25 per cent tariff on India Wednesday night as 'penalty' for the continued import of Russian crude oil, and vowed similar measures against other countries that buy, directly or indirectly, from that country and fund cash-strapped Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine. Trump on Thursday said a lot more secondary sanctions are upcoming, after he was asked why only India was singled out for penalties over doing business with Russia. Responding to the question, Trump said, "It's only been 8 hours. So let's see what happens. You're going to see a lot more...You're going to see so much secondary sanctions."
