Shailendra Sahu, an independent film director from Chhattisgarh, whose film Bailadila has been invited to the Cannes Film Festival, cannot travel to France as his visa was rejected for lack of funds. This comes in at a time when an Indian delegation headed by I&B Minister Anurag Thakur is at Cannes and India is a country of honour at the festival this year.
