India Brings Oil, Gas In 9 Tankers From West Asia Amid War

At least nine oil and gas tankers have arrived in India from conflict-hit West Asia since the conflict between US-Israel and Iran since the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in the first week of March. Of the total, nine tankers carried 5.4 lakh metric tonnes of LPG that is enough to fill 2.29 crore domestic LPG cylinders. India's daily LPG cylinder refill bookings stand at an average of 55.7 lakh. Eight of the gas tankers crossed the fraught Strait of Hormuz, which has been blocked by Iran and where Tehran screens and allows only select ships to pass.
