Increase In Unhealthy Food Habits In Our Population: Dr R Hemalatha

Dr R Hemalatha, Director, National Institute of Nutrition - ICMR, says while there has been decrease in stunting, wasting, maternal mortality and under-5 mortality over the past several years, there has been a parallel increase in unhealthy dietary habits in our population, both in urban and rural areas. All these contribute to low intake of key nutrients, she says.
