Students of IIT Madras have developed a re-usable sounding  rocket that they hope would generate electricity from it's vibrations, saving fuel. The rocketry team behind this has qualified for the finals of Spaceport America Cup. Team Abhyuday is also the first ever team among IITs to qualify for this. Other innovations at an exhibition they hosted yesterday include an electric  formula racing car,  an artificial intelligence based hexapod to explore terrains difficult for human beings and a self driven car for closed communities and campuses. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to students at IIT Madras.
