IIT Bombay Student Death: FIR Registered For Abetment To Suicide, Says DCP
A second-year B.Tech student at IIT Bombay was found dead at an IIT hostel in Powai. Police have registered an FIR at Powai Police Station based on a complaint filed by the student’s father. The DCP said the case includes abetment to suicide and other applicable sections, with multiple people named in the complaint. Police said the investigation has just begun and all allegations, including claims of pressure and caste-based harassment, will be examined.
