BJP leader Navneet Rana has sparked a major political controversy with remarks on population and community identity that drew sharp criticism across political and social circles. Speaking to reporters in Amravati on Tuesday, she linked family-size to national security and religious demographics, urging Hindus to have more children. Rana said a "Maulana" openly claimed he has "four wives and 19 children," and argued that Hindus should respond by having at least "three to four children" themselves to counter what she called a plan to "turn Hindustan into Pakistan."
