The economically weaker sections are easy targets of human traffickers as boys are taken along with the promise of a job and girls are convinced to be given better life. But boys end up being used as cheap labour and girls are forced into sex work. With worsening economic conditions, experts believe that the pandemic has put people with low or no incomes at risk.
