How Once Distant Mizoram, Is Now One Of India's Fastest Growing Tourist Destination
Mizoram Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, speaking exclusively to NDTV on Tuesday during the Mizoram Travel Fest 2026, said the state has witnessed a significant increase in tourist arrivals following the inauguration of the railway line connecting the state capital, Aizawl, last September.
Describing Mizoram as one of the most peaceful states in the country, Hmar invited tourists to explore its lush green landscapes, hills, valleys, waterfalls, rivers, rich cultural heritage and the warm hospitality of the Mizo people.
