Hormuz Must Stay Open: UAE Calls It Global Lifeline | UAE Demands Free Navigation In Hormuz

UAE minister Saeed Al Hajeri has underlined that uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is a global necessity, not just a regional concern. Highlighting that nearly 20% of the world’s energy supplies pass through this corridor, he warned that any disruption poses serious risks to global economic stability. For India, one of the largest crude oil importers, the stakes are especially high, with significant oil and LPG supplies routed through Hormuz. The UAE has called for the strait to remain open, secure, and unrestricted, echoing the stance of Narendra Modi. Amid rising tensions involving the United States and Iran, the UAE has expressed readiness to support multilateral efforts to ensure free navigation.
