US President Donald Trump has urged Iranian protesters to continue their demonstrations, declaring that "help is on its way," even as reports point to an intensifying crackdown by Tehran. According to the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), at least 1,847 protesters, including minors, have been killed since protests erupted on December 28. Trump has also announced the cancellation of all meetings with Iranian officials until the violence against demonstrators stops, sharply contradicting Iran's claim that diplomatic channels with Washington remain open.
