Reacting to Donald Trump's speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Chief Economic Commentator Martin Wolf told NDTV that the only genuinely new and significant takeaway was Trump's assertion that he does not intend to take Greenland by force. Wolf described much of the rest of the speech as familiar rhetoric, marked by exaggeration and criticism of Europe. On Trump's intentions, Wolf said it is impossible to know how far the US president is willing to go, but stressed that Trump's fixation on Greenland and the Arctic appears real, making it unlikely that he would easily abandon the demand.
