"He's Still On A Hunger Strike...": Activist Rahul Easwar's Wife On His Police Custody

Activist Rahul Easwar's wife Deepa said that "The police had applied for custody. They had asked for three days' custody. The reasons that they have cited are that they will need to search his devices, his office and all of that. But all his devices were already handed over two days ago. Our argument was that another three days of custody would not be required. And the Court agreed and said that three days' custody may not be required and that the custody ends by tomorrow evening, 5 p.m. So we hope that he gets bail immediately after that. That is most probably the day after tomorrow. So the bail today and the day after tomorrow should be considered. They're moving it today, and hopefully the court will call it on Friday... Yes, he's still on a hunger strike. No food, no water, also. So he's been moved to the central prison to receive 24-hour medical supervision as well... He just said that I asked him if he's still on hunger strike.'
