"He Moved In Open Jeeps": Ex Cop After Gangster-Politician Mukhtar Ansari's Death

Shailendra Singh, a former deputy superintendent of police who had invoked the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) against gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari in January 2004, spoke about the gangtsre.

"20 years ago, in 2004, Mukhtar Ansari's empire was at its peak. He would move around in open jeeps in areas where curfew was imposed. I even imposed POTA on him," said former top cop Shailendra Singh.
