'He Deserves Bail Now More Than Ever': Senior Lawyer On GN Saibaba

Former Delhi University professor GN Saibaba will stay in jail in the Maoists links case, the Supreme Court has said. Supreme Court lawyer Ashwini Dubey said one needs to understand that the high court, after a trial, reached a conclusion, and the facts of the two acquittals – GN Saibaba's and BJP MP Pragya Thakur's are different. He says that only after taking every aspect into account can the Supreme Court come to a decision. Pointing out that GN Saibaba has gone through such a long trial and the process is the punishment, senior Supreme Court advocate Mahmood Paracha said GN Saibaba deserves bail "now more than ever".
