"Happy To See Tesla Doubling Imports From India": Piyush Goyal In US

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in the US and met leaders including President Joe Biden, an event that according to Mr Goyal, "clearly shows the respect India is getting from the US and other nations". He said his visit was primarily for meeting the Tesla team, “many of whom are Indians who have done us proud.” “It was also to discuss their plans about India elements in their supply chains. I am very happy to see them doubling their imports from India,” Mr Goyal told NDTV. “We are adopting EVs (electric vehicles) very fast. Nearly 40 per cent two-wheelers are EVs now,” he added.
